ABSTRACTS
Guidelines for abstract submission for the ADF conference
- Abstracts must be submitted online only.
- Abstracts should summarize new scientific research findings. Purely clinical case reports are generally not suitable.
- At the time of submission (deadline), the data contained therein must not have been published yet.
- If the abstract has already been submitted to the ESDR or SID or presented there in a similar form, this must be indicated. In this case, it can only be accepted as a poster at the ADF. However, parallel submission to other regional or international dermatology conferences, meetings of dermatology societies, or non-dermatology societies is permitted.
- Abstracts must be written in English. Presentations should preferably be given in English, and posters must be submitted in English.
- Online submission is interactive and guides you step by step through the necessary information. You do not need to worry about formatting. The maximum length of an abstract is 3,500 characters. Please write out Greek symbols.
- No authors or institutions may be named in the abstract text. These must be entered exclusively in the fields provided, otherwise they will not appear in the index. Each author must be assigned to at least one institution.
New: In addition to presenting your abstract as a poster or oral presentation at the ADF conference, you now have the option of presenting it in a working group (WG) session. If you wish to do so, please select the appropriate WG when choosing your presentation type. Submitting your abstract to both sessions will not affect your chances of being selected for the main program.
Review:
All abstracts will be evaluated by one of the two expert committees and by the ADF Executive Board. A grading guideline ensures that the review is conducted in a uniform manner. Based on these evaluations, the Executive Board will decide on acceptance or rejection as well as on the form of presentation (lecture, short presentation, or poster), taking into account the topic and preferences of the submitter.
