DEAR COLLEAGUES AND FRIENDS,

We are excited to welcome you to the 53rd Annual Meeting of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Dermatologische Forschung (ADF), taking place 11–13 March 2027 in Lübeck.

This year, we once again expect a wide range of outstanding abstracts, from which the reviewers will select a number for oral presentation.In addition, three Quo Vadis Lectures will address current topics and highlight novel avenues for future research.

As in previous years, several awards will recognize outstanding scientists. The recipients of the two main ADF Awards, the Egon Macher Award and the Paul Langerhans Award, will present their work. In addition, the ADF/ECARF Award, prizes in Dermato-Oncology and Translational Research, as well as one prize dedicated specifically to Atopic Dermatitis research, will be awarded this year.

We are pleased to announce that the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Research Award will be presented for the first time this year.

Posters should remain on display throughout the meeting to encourage lively discussion. All oral presentations will also be exhibited as posters to facilitate informal interactions. Poster sessions will include guided poster walks, focusing discussion on specific themes. The best posters, nominated by the poster committee, will be recognized with a Poster Award at the closing session. We strongly encourage all presenters to remain until the closing session to receive their award in person.
